Our Services

Integrated drone and satellite remote sensing solutions for mineral exploration and geotechnical monitoring.

01

Prospecting Rights Applications

Applying for prospecting rights requires a strong technical understanding of the area being targeted and a clear plan for future exploration activities. Fieldserve assists early-stage mining investors throughout this process by helping identify and evaluate areas with mineral potential.

Our work begins by reviewing available mining, geological, and exploration information for the area of interest. We combine these datasets with satellite remote sensing techniques to better understand surface conditions, geological features, and potential mineralisation targets.

The results of these studies are used to support the development of a prospecting works programme, providing the technical foundation required for a robust prospecting rights application.

02

Drone Geophysical Surveys

Fieldserve provides high-resolution UAV magnetic surveys for mineral exploration and subsurface investigations. Using a UAV magnetometer and base station, we can efficiently collect geophysical data across large areas while maintaining a closer distance to the ground than conventional airborne surveys.

This approach allows rapid data collection in rugged terrain where ground surveys may be slow, costly, or difficult to perform and helicopter surveys are too costly or unable to provide the required resolution.

We manage the complete survey process, including project planning, data acquisition, processing, quality control, interpretation, and reporting. Our surveys are designed and interpreted by experienced geophysicists and geologists with extensive experience with African geology.

03

Geotechnical Monitoring

Mining operations and legacy tailings facilities require continuous monitoring to identify conditions that may indicate developing risks. Fieldserve uses satellite remote sensing technologies to detect deformation, instability, ground movement, seepage indicators, and other geotechnical risk factors.

Our monitoring solutions are particularly valuable for investors evaluating tailings remining opportunities where historical performance and stability are critical considerations.

By analysing both historical and current satellite observations, we provide insights that support risk management and operational planning.

Technology

Leveraging drone and satellite remote sensing technologies to improve mineral exploration, geophysical mapping, and geotechnical monitoring.

Remote Sensing for Modern Mining Projects

Modern mineral exploration and geotechnical monitoring demand accurate information across large areas, often in challenging terrain. Remote sensing provides a practical way to collect and analyse critical data quickly, safely, and cost effectively.

Traditional field-based investigations remain essential, but they can be time-consuming and resource intensive when large areas must be assessed. Drones and satellites allow decision makers to rapidly identify areas of interest and focus field activities where they will have the greatest impact.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones)

Drones (UAVs) provide a flexible platform for collecting high-resolution geospatial and geophysical information. Flying closer to the ground than conventional aircraft allows drones to acquire detailed datasets while operating efficiently across rugged and difficult terrain.

UAV Magnetics allows us to rapidly map large areas and identify magnetic anomalies that may be associated with geological structures, lithological boundaries, or mineralisation targets.

Drone-based surveys improve efficiency, reduce field exposure, and provide high-quality data for exploration and engineering projects.

Satellites (Spaceborne Sensors)

Satellite remote sensing enables frequent observation of large regions over extended periods. These datasets provide valuable information about surface conditions, land use changes, geological features, and ground movement.

For mineral exploration, satellite imagery can help identify alteration patterns, structural trends, and other indicators that support target generation and project evaluation.

In geotechnical monitoring, synthetic aperture radar satellites can help detect subtle ground deformation and displacement trends that may indicate developing stability concerns affecting mine tailings facilities and pit slopes.

The Power of Integration

No technology works on its own. The greatest value comes from integrating multiple datasets with geological and geotechnical expertise.

By combining spaceborne satellite observations with drone surveys, Fieldserve provides a more complete understanding of geological targets, surface conditions, subsurface characteristics, and geotechnical risks than either technology could deliver independently.

This integrated approach allows clients to make better-informed decisions, reduce uncertainty, improve project planning, and focus resources where they can deliver the greatest value.
